Alternative medicine and spiritual knowledge integrate together in health and wellness expo
Spirit of the Buffalo Health and Wellness Expo is being held at the Gathering Place (4001 3rd Av N) in Regina on March 9th (10am-5pm). All are invited with a special invitation for those actively seeking guidance and assistance to understand the spiritual/physical connection in achieving lifelong health and wellness.
The Canadian food supply is inadequate to meet the needs of a healthy and vibrant people. Chain grocery stores are in a deplorable state with processed foods being the most affordable and organic food being the most expensive, the system encourages those with limited income to eat food and drink products that are dirty, poisoned, nutritionally deficient and unnatural. The native community has long realized via the medicine wheel, that the physical body is directly connected to one's emotional and mental health, and spiritual development. More people are being called to take direct action to achieve their personal balance. With most people experiencing the repercussions of living in a modern toxic world, there is a need for community-driven initiatives that support each person's unique path towards wellness and health.
For many living on the prairies, the buffalo represents a way of living in harmony with nature. At Spirit of the Buffalo you will meet community leaders in health, new sciences, music, art and including those in massage therapy, biofeedback, ionic footbaths and nutritional counselling. This is the fourth Spirit of the Buffalo to be held in two years (two held in Saskatoon, and one in Regina). The gathering in Regina is co-hosted by Hughston Poorman and Dieter Braun. Braun says, "This is not your typical health expo....there's definitely a community feel here, local musicians coming together with local health and energy people create a powerful mix. We're here to assist people to claim their health, power and sense of purpose and direction".
