Quitting coffee (mostly)… I went from a regular coffee drinker… to one cup in the last three weeks… no withdrawal symptoms… I was feeling I couldn’t be as healthy as I want to be, with that regular coffee in the morning… about a week and a half ago, I was craving a cup of coffee… and when I drank it, I thought… this experience isn’t as necessary as I thought it was… kinda blah on the body on some level. Around the same time I started bathing in baking soda… now my body definitely gained some weight… weight that I couldn’t gain, regularly consuming acidic coffee… now supplementing with diatomaceous earth… I saw my nails growing like crazy. A regular coffee habit, mismanaged, surely weakens. The baking soda, may have quickly taken me from the pH addiction window that was keeping me in a cycle that wasn’t serving me anymore… oh, I’ll still sing the praises of coffee over all… but the acidic effect of coffee or other substances, on the body must be addressed, to be truly in rhythmic balanced exchange with my body and the universe.

Today I will go for a cup of coffee… it will be a treat not a crutch.
